About the Project
Covchain is a COVID-19 vaccine tracking application designed to enhance the supply chain management of vaccines. It leverages smart contracts and blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and efficiency. The primary goal of Covchain is to prevent issues such as hoarding, data falsification, embezzlement, and the handling of damaged goods. By utilizing VEXANIUM blockchain technology, the application can monitor the entire supply chain, ensuring that vaccines reach their intended destinations and are distributed equitably.
Goals
- Prevent Hoarding: Ensure that vaccines are distributed according to demand and priority without unfair accumulation.
- Prevent Data Falsification: Maintain a transparent and tamper-proof record of vaccine distribution.
- Prevent Embezzlement: Secure the supply chain to avoid misappropriation of vaccines.
- Prevent Damage: Monitor the condition of vaccines to ensure they are delivered safely and effectively.
- Track Deliveries: Confirm that vaccines reach their intended destinations.
- Visualize Distribution: Allow users to view the distribution density of vaccines across different regions.
The User and Audience
Primary Users:
- Healthcare Providers: To track vaccine deliveries and ensure proper storage and administration.
- Government Agencies: To monitor vaccine distribution and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Logistics Companies: To manage the transportation and handling of vaccines.
- General Public: To access information on vaccine distribution and availability in their area.
