The PPSMB UGM 2023 website is an information portal designed specifically for new students at Gadjah Mada University. This platform provides essential information about university events, group cluster searches, and even features an augmented reality component to enhance user engagement. The website has seen impressive traction, with approximately 70,000 users accessing it within just two weeks of its launch. The initial phase involved identifying the needs and expectations of new students, university staff, and other stakeholders. This was achieved through surveys and interviews, which provided detailed insights into the functional and non-functional requirements of the website. All gathered information was meticulously documented to guide the subsequent phases.
Following the requirement gathering, a comprehensive project plan was developed, outlining timelines and milestones. The design phase focused on creating the website architecture and user interface, with wireframes and mockups prepared for stakeholder review. Feedback from stakeholders was incorporated to ensure the design met all user needs and expectations.
The development phase saw the actual building of the website. Front-end development was carried out using Next.js to create a dynamic and responsive user interface. Simultaneously, back-end development ensured seamless data flow and real-time updates. This phase also included the integration of AR.js to provide augmented reality features, enhancing user interaction with the website.
Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure the website functioned as intended. This included unit tests, integration tests, and system tests. User
